Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never thought I would say this but, I am so GLAD Halloween is over! There are just too many activities to get done in such little time! It was a lot of fun, but I am so tired now and ready to relax! :)

Making Landen's costume really took it out of me. Who knew that cutting duck tape into stripes could be so much work! Then, after wearing it to Trick-or-Treat Street it was already falling apart! Oh well! He enjoyed it and he looked very "original"! LOL

Peyton's costume was adorable, the flower represents her personality perfectly. She is our little flower! Getting her to smile for these pictures was quite the chore.

Landen had a blast Trick-Or-Treating, he got me a lot of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! He is such a sweet & generous child. I am so proud of him!

My New Year's Resolution is going to be learning to sew. I am going to make their costumes next year. If anyone reading this is an expert at sewing, please let me know. I would love to have a lesson! ;)

I hope everyone had a safe & fun Halloween! Here are some pictures of the kids!

Pumpkin Carving Party!

It is so great to have friends with kids around the same age as Landen! We decided to have a little pumpkin carving party over the weekend. I made some Chili and Alee brought the Caramel Apples. Talk about all things messy! :)

Landen really went to town on his pumpkin this year. I am pretty sure he considers it his greatest masterpiece. He did such a great job cleaning it out with only a little help from me. He couldn't wait for me to stick a pattern on for him, so he got out the crayon out instead. LOL At least we could add on some eyes and a mouth, thanks to the Webbs'!

*The pics of Alee's pumpkins wouldn't load, I will try again later*

Just Having A Little Fun...

I recently came across a popular BLOG of a Mom who took some really unique pictures of her newborn. While she was sleeping she would use blankets, clothes and many different props to create cute little scenes around her baby! I thought it was so adorable and wanted to try the same thing. While Peyton isn't a newborn anymore OR sleeping as much, I think it still turned out pretty cute. I plan do try more if I can think of some cool stuff.... ENJOY! :)

Pumpking Patch!

Last Friday Landen's preschool had a field trip to a Pumpkin Patch in Aurora. It was by far the COOLEST pumpkin patch I have ever been to! Okay, it's the only pumpkin patch I have ever been to, but still! :)

They had so many fun things for the kids to do; A Mini Corn Maze, Train Rides, Hay Rides, Bouncy Castles, etc.

His class had a blast. He says his favorite part was the train ride with Dad. :)

A Night Out With Friends...

A couple of weeks ago Alex and I were able to break free from the little ones for a few hours and get together with some wonderful friends! We hadn't seen Jen in nearly A YEAR!!!  We went to The Celtic for a dinner & beer. It was so wonderful to see her and catch up with everyone! :) Here are a couple of fun pics from that night with Jen & My Wilson Sisters! :)

Little Moments Make Big Memories...

I really enjoy reading the fun posts by friends and acquaintances, they always seem to have a creative way of writing about their adventures and experiences. So, my hope is to do the same! I am not sure how this blog will go, or if I will stick with it, but we will see!

I want to be able to share all of the exciting and fun things that our family does. It seems life is so busy lately and I think this blog will be a wonderful way for me to slow down and reflect on the little things in life.

Just to catch everyone up...
Landen is 4½ and Peyton is already 7 months old.  I can't believe how blessed we are to have two beautiful children. They are both getting so big and I don't know where the time has gone!

Landen is in his 2nd year of preschool and loving every minute of it. I am of coarse enjoying the 3 hours of "quiet time" that preschool brings to our house! ;)  He is such a funny and outgoing boy. He is constantly making us laugh and teaching us new things and ALWAYS trying to outsmart us!

Peyton is such a little sweetheart....we just can't get enough of her! It's fun to notice the differences in their personalities. Landen was always loud and very busy. Peyton is much more calm and content. It seems they are exact opposites! :) One thing we know for sure is that she LOVES her big brother. It doesn't matter if he is being too rough or hugging her too tight. She almost always has a laugh or a smile for him. In her eyes, he does NO WRONG! Let's just hope it stays that way!

As for Alex and I...we are just trying to keep up with these kiddos! Alex is a store manager for Walgreens in Littleton. He works so hard and we are very thankful for his career. I am working 2 days a week for Walgreens as well.  It's really nice getting out of the house and having adult interactions. :)
We have been playing co-ed Softball on Friday nights and co-ed soccer on Sundays. That has been a lot of fun, but I am ready to relax a little bit.

Well, there goes writing my first BLOG. I think I may have rambled too much, but oh well! :) I will post again soon with some of our Fall activities!

Below are a few of the pictures we had taken in August. The photographer is a friend from high school who was trying to build her portfolio. I think she did an amazing job and we were so happy with the results!
